ALL A CHEQUER-BOARD OF NIGHTS AND DAYS

On Friday 3 October our Chess team played an away friendly against Maitland High. The official score was 4-1 to Sans Souci. However, some of the players wanted to play extra rounds and the final score ended 7-3 to Sans Souci. This is our first Chess win this year - well done girls! Congratulations to all the girls in the team for winning games: Megan Maalie (1), Alex Lith (2), Simone Morgan (2), Morongoe Matheleli (1) and Jennifer Hughes (1). Perhaps the perseverance and grit the Chess team girls have shown in their playing throughout the year, while regularly attending Chess coaching and practice, is paying off! We hope to see more of this from them! |
