  ONE WAY CHRISTIAN UNION

"I AM THE WAY, AND THE TRUTH, AND THE LIFE."

                 John 14: 6

One Way is the Sans Souci Christian Society. It has always been a popular society and the activities range from meeting at break to inter-school events and camps. A student committee of six learners runs the society and assists the teacher-in-charge with the planning of meetings and events. Once a week there is a main meeting where the girls sing, listen to speakers from various churches and organisations or even just play games and get to know each other. There are also various cell groups at other breaks during the week where girls can discuss issues and learn in smaller groups. A weekly prayer meeting is held by the girls.

Other events range from an annual "Banana Split" with SACS to a sixties evening which is hosted in the school hall. There are sleep-overs and walks in the forest, and the group often attends special services or meetings at local churches. One Way is great fun and like many of the societies at Sans Souci, affords an opportunity to extend one's knowledge beyond the academic sphere.

BANANA SPLIT REPORT: 02 MARCH 2006

Thank you to all those who attended the Banana Split evening last week, your enthusiasm was incredible! Although we by far out-numbered the boys, I am sure that we all made new friends, not only from Sans Souci, but also from our brother-school SACS.

For those of you who were unable to attend the first instalment of One Way’s program for 2006, you truly missed out on an evening to remember, of swimming, games and more importantly: the gutter-slush of ice cream, sweets, and banana. Click here for a few pictures.

The best is yet to come, so be prepared!

ONE WAY REPORT ON OCTOBER LEADERSHIP 2005

Last weekend (22 - 23 October 2005) the One Way Committee (Tamzyn Fabing, Adelé Johannisen, Laura Stone and I) attended the annual October Leadership Camp held at the Rocklands Centre in Simonstown. There, we had the most wonderful time learning more about God and his awesomeness, as well as each other. We also became reacquainted with Sans Souci past pupils who are currently doing us more than proud in the great big world out there. None of us would be able to say that we did not make new friends and contacts with other school Christian Unions from throughout the Peninsula. As we reach the end of a very successful 2005, we are not afraid to say: "2006, here we come!".
