The WCED appoints Mrs Shirley Humphreys as the Acting Principal of Sans Souci. This year also saw an exciting introduction to our Academic department, namely isiXhosa as a second language option, as well as the addition of Soccer as a fun new sporting opportunity.

This year, 42 enthusiastic and dedicated Sans Souci girls’ took up the challenge to create a life size rhino sculpture from recycled material for an awareness campaign against Rhino poaching. This was then placed on display at the V&A Waterfront.
Moyra Makina, a past pupil of Sans Souci and a “Survivor” series participant, addressed the pupils sharing her life’s journey, urging the girls to “Face your fears”, “Just show up” and “Stay focused.”
We hosted a “TEENS got TALENT Fair” which was held in aid of The Sunflower Fund and in line with our motto – Learn to be of service!
For the first time, alumni from Sans Souci were granted the privilege of applying for the prestigious SACS Rhodes Scholarship.
Sans Souci’s Golden Jubilee – Celebrating 50 years! We welcomed all Sans Soucians old and new to join in the celebration.
Sans Souci hosted an HIV/Aids awareness campaign for both parents and pupils. We also ran a very successful Toy Drive together with Good Hope FM – Disce Prodesse!
Our girls were invited to Newlands Stadium after South Africa won the Rugby World Cup and were given flags to wave as the victorious Springboks paraded the field.
FACETS, an annual Sans Souci festival of Bands, Choirs, Drama, Debating, Public Speaking, Science and Technology, Culinary Crafts and Art began.
